This place is so consistently fantastic, that I had to rate it on tripadvisor. It ended up being the first of many reviews on my most recent Italian vacay.

I don’t remember which trip to Florence I discovered this oasis, but man-oh-man I’m sure glad I did. This is the type of place that puts meaning in the phrase… “exceeding your expectations!” With excellent gelato and friendly, efficient service to match, it’s why line ups can be long, particularly in the evening. It’s also why people will wait.

From the 1 flavour 1 euro taster cone, to 2 flavours for 2 euro, 3 flavours for 2.50 euro, and up, I found it not only very reasonably priced but in all the flavours I got to taste – unlike other gelaterie I went to – I liked each flavour I tried. The pistachio and fragole:strawberry were particular faves!

On my most recent trip of 7 days in Florence, I went every day. Every. Day. How could I not…? Not that I needed the 35+ degree temps as an excuse… it was there. It was so close by, in the remarkably walkable gloriously beautiful city that is Florence. Just on the south side of the bridge, the Ponte alla Carraia, it’s a short walk from almost anywhere.

My only regret… is not having enough time to taste all the flavours~

Don’t just take my word for it, check it out: reviews on trip advisor
